South Staffordshire Plc businesses raise money for LGBTQ+ charities
Colleagues from across our group came together to run bake sales during Pride Month to support LGBTQ+ charities.

The event was organised by the Group’s Unity+ Committee – a staff network formed at the start of 2025 to help promote our workplaces as supportive and empowering environments for employees across our businesses, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
A delicious selection of cakes and other homemade bakes were brought in for our ‘Inclusivi-tea’ bake sales, which took place at our offices in the UK and India across the UK, raising more than £1,600 for the LGBT Foundation and ₹16,000 for the Naz Foundation.

The LGBT Foundation is a UK charity dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ people through vital services such as mental health support and community groups, and the Naz Foundation is an organisation based in India that works on HIV/AIDS and sexual health issues.
At the end of May, members of our Unity+ network and colleagues from our group took part in Birmingham Pride, one of the most vibrant LGBTQ+ events in the UK, to celebrate our diversity and inclusivity.

We are also excited to share that, next month, we will be sponsoring Walsall Pride, which will be taking place just down the road from our head office at the Walsall Arboretum.
We are very much looking forward to celebrating the LGBTQ+ community in our local area.
